Yellow Brick Road....

Someone asked me today if I had any regrets.
I said I had some.
I don’t dwell on what could have been. But I do wonder if I could have lived that life. I had prepared for myself a yellow brick road to follow. But God had other plans for me and my yellow brick road. We went on a long detour, Him and me, on another byway. I am thankful for the detour….But just when I was getting used to that byway, he dropped me back on my old road and asked me to walk by myself. No Toto to keep me company, no ruby slippers to click, no Tin man, Lion or Scarecrow. Just me and the yellow brick road ahead…
They say the first step is always the hardest….my feet are getting numb.

Dont worry chay !!! they also say every step will be the first step of the rest of the way !
First steps neither the hardest nor the easiset ...Is there a first step in the first place ?
The diff chets is in the attitude...to dwell on the past is different from wondering about how much I would have liked a different life.
Of course there is a first step to everything...and of course they are harder than the rest. :-)) as one walks...it gets easier...

Do not agree to the first step thing chay .. buti guess this will be a never ending debate ... If there were first steps .. I have had so many so many of them .. and have never come across a last step !!!
easier is probably from the POV what has gone by .. but when you look into where you are going .. its always as hard or easy to take the next step ... its just one step to another ...
